SUPERVISION

Supervision for counsellors/psychotherapists

I provide reflective, supportive and ethically grounded supervision for professionals working within counselling, therapy and wellbeing settings. As a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, with multiple years in both Social Worker and counselling/therapy, I offer a collaborative space that supports ethical practice, self-awareness and professional development. Supervision encourages reflection, accountability, resilience and growth within safe and effective practice.

My aim is to create a safe environment where supervisees can think, talk freely and to create a ‘culture of feedback.’ (Wallace and Cooper, 2015)

This will be achieved by the supervisor and supervisee working in partnership to the ‘Normative, Formative, and Restorative’ supervision functions (Proctor 1986). The model of supervision will be the Cyclical model (Page and Wosket 1994) which offers a continuous process of reflection, learning and action. Each offers placing the clients’ welfare and any relevant systemic relationships at the heart of an honest reflective supervisory process. The duty of care is to both the supervisee and to their clients.
